Privacy policy

Protecting your personal data matters to me. This website is built to process as little data as possible. Below I inform you in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Key points at a glance

• No tracking, no web analytics, no advertising tools.
• No embedded third-party services: no external fonts, no maps, no videos, no social media plugins.
• No contact form – contact only by e-mail, phone or LinkedIn, if you choose to.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. When the page is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested file, amount of data transferred, browser and operating system, and the previously visited page (referrer).

The purpose is the secure and stable provision of the website and protection against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The hosting provider anonymises IP addresses in the access logs. Log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for these purposes, unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.

4. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact me, I process the information you provide (e.g. name, company, contact details, content of the enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. § 132 Austrian Federal Fiscal Code, seven years for business correspondence). E-mails are processed via STRATO GmbH (address see section 3, servers in Germany).

5. Link to LinkedIn

This website links to my LinkedIn profile. This is a simple link, not an embedded plugin. Only when you click the link are you forwarded to LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Dublin 2, Ireland). LinkedIn's privacy policy applies there.

6. Data security

The website is delivered exclusively in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS).

7. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Simply contact me at the e-mail address above.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

8. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
